This small concrete block building houses the 95.9 MHZ translator for
Yellowstone Public Radio in Big Sky. During the ski season, during
day hours, Jim is able to access the site on skis, through the
cooperation of the Big Sky Resort, 31-Mar-1999.
The Yellowstone Public Radio K240CI translator is the upper box.
The lower box is translator K288ES for
KOBB-FM, 24-Oct-2005.
Jim uses his cellular telephone to keep in touch with the folks at the
studio in Billings, Oct-1995.
Extreme winds from the southwest blow the rocks bare in some places,
and pile snowdrifts six to eight feet deep in others. The pole on the
left supports antennas for Cellular One. The antennas in the middle
are for receiving FM and TV signals from Butte and Bozeman for the
translators, 31-Mar-1999.
