KGPR, Great Falls
New Studio, August 25-29, 2008.
When the college building project was finished, MSU-Great Falls assigned
two rooms to KGPR. We installed a new console and moved the studio
equipment to the new location during the week before Labor Day.
Technical Sergeant and Board President Brian Court, Engineer David
Hubbard, and Station Manager Tom Halverson, review the layout of the
new studio and discuss equipment arrangements, August 25, 2008.
We finally settled on this configuration for the new custom studio
furniture.
David works under the counter on console connections while Loren pulls
cables in the suspended ceiling.
On Wednesday, we moved all the other equipment from the temporary studio.
The first show aired from the new studio on Thursday, August 28, 2008.
The turntables are to the left of the dj. The new studio has a computer
to research news and weather. Here, the computer and video monitor are
temporarily placed on the turntable table.
The front office doubles as a Production Room. We installed the old
board, microphones, and speakers.
To the right of the Producer is the support equipment, including
console power supply, Mini-Disc player, and dual CD-RW machine.
