In the fall of 2011, a new Nautel XR-6 transmitter was ordered for KBOW.

After the old Gates BC5 was removed, we brought in the new Nautel XR-6, October 28, 2011.

As part of this project, we replaced the old carpet. The fourth photo on the previous page will give you an idea of the psychedelic pattern from the sixties. This deep blue carpet should stand up under heavy use for another forty years. With the transmitter in place, we connected power and remote control.
Matching Network
The final item needed to make the transmitter operational is a 50 Ohm to 235 Ohm matching network. This unit is mounted to the ceiling above the transmitter, November 9, 2011.
