In 2013, with grants from two philanthropic organizations, KCMM was able to move the transmitter to a higher location to give better coverage of the Gallatin Valley.

A smokey day in the Gallatin Valley, obscuring the Bridger Mountains, 24-Aug-2013. This is the tower and building to which the KCMM transmitter will move, at the High Flat Electronic Site. The FCC Application for Construction Permit was prepared by Gray Haertig.

All three bays of the Shively 6810-3R are mounted on the mast, 07-Oct-2013. A sharp eye might notice that the interbay spacing is less than one wavelength. In order to reduce downward radiation, the bays are spaced 0.85 wavelength apart.

An important step was to have the electric service to the site upgraded. A crew from Mountain Power installs a 112.5 KVA 3-phase pad mount transformer on 08-Oct-2013.

On the back side of the transmitter building, the six-port cable entry panel has been installed. The air conditioner outside unit has been brought to the site, 10-Oct-2013.
