These racks in the Technical Operations Center house all the support equipment for the stations, including satellite receivers, audio processing, STL transmitters, RPU receivers, test and monitoring. At the time of this photo, the Scientific Atlanta boxes (in the center rack) were not operational, and scheduled for removal in this phase. If you are a KJRB alumnus, this is where the old RCA BTA5 stood. The engineering office was just beyond the new wall at the far end. The original KJRB air studio was to the left of this corridor.

These 66 blocks cross connect all the studios with the racks. Engineers will recognize the blue Gepco cables at the top of the blocks. The coax dressed to the right is for cable TV and VHF antenna distribution. The Henry box in the center was used to produce a mono sum of KDRK-FM for simulcast on KDRK-AM.

Citadel Communications September, 1996 to August, 1997. We handled the day-to-day engineering duties and assisted with a major construction project for KGA and KJRB.
